Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist Herd Technicians with routine animal care and general farm tasks to ensure animal welfare.
  • •Feed, water, vaccinate, and perform animal husbandry and basic veterinary procedures, including medication administration and treating sick animals.
  • •Assist in moving animals and maintaining efficient animal flows; process piglets including injections and procedures.
  • •Sanitize and wash multiple farm areas using high-pressure equipment; support facility and equipment maintenance and cleanliness duties.
  • •Maintain accurate production information and update department records while following SOPs, animal welfare policies, and environmental, safety, and biosecurity procedures.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 16.75 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • •Previous livestock handling experience helpful.
  • •Ability to do hard physical labor and work in demanding farm conditions (e.g., odors, dust, noise).
  • •Ability to follow instructions and work with standardized situations.
  • •Ability to work an average 48-hour work week with weekend, evening, and holiday work; on-call for emergencies.
