Job Summary

Define and drive system-level test (SLT) solutions as part of the New Product Introduction (NPI) test engineering team, delivering leading-edge test development for AMD data center graphics products. Lead SLT product development to hit milestones for test time, yield, cost, and quality, collaborate with architecture, product & test engineering, customer quality, and software/platform teams, and provide technical supervision/mentoring to support low-level system debug.

Key Responsibilities

•Define and drive SLT solutions to meet business milestones for cost and quality in the system level area.
•Solve complex, novel, and non-recurring problems; initiate significant changes to existing processes and lead development and implementation.
•Conduct engineering evaluations and analysis to drive closure of production issues.
•Develop and architect SLT logging or data collection flow in manufacturing.
•Collaborate on product development initiatives and provide technical supervision or mentoring to junior engineers.

Key Requirements

•Proficient understanding of x86 CPU and GPU architecture and functionality, including HBM.
•Broad understanding of industry bus protocols including DDR, PCIe, and USB.
•Experience with SoC design and power management features, and with SoC (System-On-Chip), firmware, and software interaction.
•Software programming and scripting proficiency (Java, Shell script, Perl, Ruby, Python).
•Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems.
