Key Responsibilities

  • •Bring superconducting qubit devices to operational readiness, including chip mounting, cryogenic assembly, microwave-compatible PCB/enclosures, and dilution refrigerator setup.
  • •Run and improve qubit calibration and characterization (resonator/qubit spectroscopy, Rabi/Ramsey/echo, energy relaxation/coherence times, readout optimization, two-qubit gate calibration).
  • •Develop calibration automation routines that close the loop without requiring constant physicist intervention, coordinating with software/ML teams.
  • •Maintain system performance and control, diagnosing spurs, crosstalk, leakage, defects, thermal population, and wiring/component failures; define monitoring and unattended recovery.
  • •Collaborate to integrate hardware, software, and data pipelines into a unified quantum control stack and provide usability/performance feedback.
