Job Summary

Own the end-to-end strategy for a portfolio of embedded developer SDKs, defining architecture, roadmap, and release execution across video analytics, real-time sensor dataflow, and distributed compute/communication middleware. Drive performance, real-time determinism, and mixed-criticality safety for heterogeneous CPU/GPU/NPU pipelines. Location: San Jose, Austin
Workplace: Onsite
Employment Type: Full time
Job Function: Software Engineering
Seniority: Manager level

Key Responsibilities

  • •Define the end-to-end SDK architecture for video analytics pipelines, graph runtime/dataflow orchestration, real-time communication, multimedia integration, vision pipelines, and ROS2-adjacent integrations.
  • •Own system design for heterogeneous sensor ingestion, including time synchronization and deterministic behavior under load (bounded latency, scheduling, backpressure, QoS).
  • •Ensure SDK runtime supports mixed-criticality systems, including real-time determinism, isolation/safety patterns, fault containment, and efficient memory/bandwidth usage across CPU/GPU and DMA/zero-copy paths.
  • •Deliver developer experience excellence through simple APIs, strong documentation/tutorials/reference apps, and tooling such as profiling, tracing, pipeline visualization, graph debugging, and replay tools; establish packaging/distribution strategy (versioning/compatibility, containers, cross-compile toolchains, reproducible builds, multi-OS support).
  • •Lead roadmap and operational excellence: feature prioritization, release trains, quality gates (CI/CD, tests, security scanning, ABI/API stability testing) and hire/mentor/scale a global engineering team while partnering with silicon, system software, product, and field.

Key Requirements

  • •BS, MS (or equivalent) with direct experience.
  • •Experience building cohesive developer SDKs (APIs, samples, docs, packaging, release management) and leading engineering organizations with global teams.
  • •Deep hands-on expertise in heterogeneous sensor pipelines, time synchronization, mixed-criticality real-time constraints, and distributed systems.
  • •Track record ensuring performance and real-time determinism (bounded latency, scheduling, backpressure) plus safety patterns and fault containment for runtimes.
  • •Strong developer experience ownership: tooling (profiling/tracing/visualization/debugging), and packaging/distribution strategy including versioning/compatibility and long-term support.
