Key Responsibilities

  • •Diagnose vehicle issues by performing inspections, tests, and identifying worn or damaged parts.
  • •Perform preventive maintenance, part replacements, system overhauls, adjustments, alignments, and upgrades across major vehicle systems.
  • •Ensure compliance and performance through test drives, system checks, and adherence to federal and state safety, engine, and emissions standards.
  • •Maintain documentation and equipment by recording repairs, managing inventory, troubleshooting shop equipment, and coordinating necessary repairs.
  • •Support department goals by controlling costs, staying current through training and technical publications, and proactively adding value to operations.

Key Requirements

  • •Valid Driver’s License.
  • •Proficiency diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, with an understanding of gasoline engines for mixed-fleet roles.
  • •Proficiency in electrical systems, brake systems, suspension/steering systems, transmission/drivetrain repair, cooling systems, HVAC systems, and familiarity with CMMS.
  • •Proficiency in fleet maintenance such as oil changes and tire rotations.
  • •Ability to communicate with supervisors, customers, and technicians, including writing repair and service orders; able to lift 50–75 pounds and work in tight spaces; must possess own tools.
