Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist in installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing substation equipment including breakers, transformers, switches, relays, buswork, control systems, and batteries.
  • •Perform routine maintenance and cleaning/visual inspections on high- and medium-voltage electrical systems.
  • •Conduct entry-level electrical testing (e.g., using voltmeters/ohmmeters/insulation megger) and assist with tests for insulation resistance, relays, transformers, and circuit breakers.
  • •Read and interpret basic electrical drawings/one-line diagrams/schematics and follow work orders with guidance.
  • •Assist with station switching and outage response, document work and test results, and support emergency call-outs under supervision.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • •3+ years of experience working as a licensed electrician.
  • •Ability to read basic prints/drawings and use common electrical test tools.
