Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct thorough vehicle inspections in accordance with Manheim inspection standards and accurately document findings.
  • •Locate, start, move, inspect, and return vehicles safely on dealer client lots while verifying VINs, mileage, and options.
  • •Perform exterior and interior condition inspections and identify damage, missing components, or inoperable features.
  • •Engage dealer clients to build trust, support inspection volume, and adapt to daily appointment/schedule changes for territory coverage.
  • •Submit daily activity/production reports, collaborate with other Manheim teams, and follow safety and inspection compliance standards.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or GED required (for Mobile Inspector – Level 1).
  • •For Mobile Inspector – Level 2, High School Diploma/GED plus 3+ years of related experience (or an equivalent combination). For Senior Level, High School Diploma/GED plus 5+ years and previous vehicle inspection experience.
  • •Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record required.
  • •Ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the role within required timeframes.
  • •Strong automotive knowledge (body and mechanical), especially for higher levels.
