Key Responsibilities

  • •Work safely and maintain a safe work area according to company policies and procedures.
  • •Support product development by operating commercial HVAC equipment, controlling test facilities, and collecting experimental test data with guidance from senior lab staff.
  • •Assist with installation, modification, and building of developmental commercial HVAC equipment and components following engineering, agency, and test requirements.
  • •Help Test Engineering and other technicians install and use laboratory test equipment, including data acquisition systems and measurement devices.
  • •Assist with troubleshooting and repair of Trane commercial HVAC technologies and equipment.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: 22 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •Currently and actively enrolled in an Associate Degree program in HVAC (or a 2-year equivalent HVAC degree program) at an accredited school.
  • •Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and willingness/desire to learn basic programming in Visual Basic.
  • •EPA Type Universal Certification or willingness to become certified.
  • •Basic understanding of schematics, engineering drawings, technical reports, and safety rules/operation and maintenance instructions.
  • •Ability to follow work instructions and applicable test standards, with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
