Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the design, maintenance, and governance of Wayflyer’s credit risk policies and frameworks across all customer segments, ensuring they enable growth while maintaining strong credit discipline.
  • •Translate Wayflyer’s risk appetite into actionable and measurable frameworks, covering underwriting, portfolio management, exposure limits, and approval authorities.
  • •Lead the periodic review of credit policies, exposure caps, and delegated authorities, ensuring alignment with business goals, funding partner requirements, and market conditions.
  • •Act as the key liaison between Risk, Finance, Legal, and Revenue teams to ensure that all policies are practical, compliant, and support scalable credit growth.
  • •Build governance structures (committees, review cadence, escalation pathways) to embed credit risk management into daily operations.

Key Requirements

  • •6 to 8+ years of experience in credit risk management, policy design, or risk governance, ideally in fintech, alternative lending, or commercial banking.
  • •Proven experience developing and maintaining credit policies or frameworks for SME, ecommerce, or trade finance portfolios.
  • •Strong understanding of credit underwriting principles, portfolio management, and regulatory/risk frameworks.
  • •Excellent analytical and communication skills, able to translate risk concepts into actionable frameworks and policies.
