Job Summary

Join the MaxScale team to lead black-box QA and technical investigations across complex routing/filter scenarios. Verify product documentation, reproduce and isolate customer-reported issues with support engineers, and create test cases that help resolve bugs. You’ll also coordinate multiple maintenance releases, maintain the automated build system, manage DEB/RPM packaging for Linux distributions, and improve the BuildBot-driven build pipeline using C++, Python, and SQL.

Job Function: QA, Test & Release Engineering

Key Responsibilities

•Design and execute black-box tests for complex MaxScale scenarios involving filters and routers.
•Verify that product documentation is accurate and matches software behavior.
•Investigate escalated issues with support engineers (and occasionally customers), including reproducing problems and isolating root causes.
•Coordinate four maintenance releases per year across multiple MaxScale series, ensuring builds and packages are ready on schedule.
•Monitor and maintain the automated build system, troubleshoot build failures, and manage DEB/RPM packaging across Linux distributions.
