Key Responsibilities

  • •Support and help build the environmental project team for transmission lines, fire hardening, renewable energy, oil and gas pipelines, transportation projects, environmental surveys, NEPA analyses, and permitting services
  • •Lead wetland field delineation and permitting efforts throughout the North Mountain region (Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Washington, Oregon)
  • •Support biological field surveys, including surveys for rare plants and threatened/endangered/sensitive wildlife species
  • •Serve as lead wetland ecologist and biologist for permitting efforts, including federal permitting (NEPA) and state requirements
  • •Exercise responsible, ethical decision-making and perform additional responsibilities as business needs require

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Biology, Environmental Science, Ecology, or a related field
  • •Five (5) + years leading and permitting aquatic resource delineation efforts in the field
  • •Five (5) + years of prior consulting experience, ideally with linear corridor projects (pipelines and/or electric transmission)
  • •Familiarity with USACE protocols and state survey requirements for aquatic resources
  • •Strong written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in remote field conditions
