Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform BIOS/firmware development with customers, understanding board designs and implementing necessary custom BIOS/firmware changes.
  • •Help customers optimize BIOS/firmware solutions for encountered issues and new feature requirements.
  • •Understand and duplicate customer-reported issues from a BIOS/firmware perspective and support silicon, board, and software bring-up through production and sustaining.
  • •Drive resolution of customer technical issues by directly supporting field engineers and collaborating with hardware/software engineering and marketing.
  • •Run debug and diagnosis and conduct performance analysis for AMD-based systems based on customer requirements; document procedures and methods.

Salary: CAD 92,050 - 157,800 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Experience with BIOS/firmware development and overall embedded BIOS/Firmware engineering.
  • •Strong programming/scripting skills (C/C++, Perl, Ruby, Python) and ability to implement BIOS/Firmware custom changes.
  • •Extensive debug knowledge and methodologies, ideally from Automotive Infotainment (IVI).
  • •Hands-on expertise with PC configurations (software and hardware) including troubleshooting methods.
  • •Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical or computer engineering.
