Key Responsibilities

•Lead the design, engineering, and studies of protection systems for equipment on the bulk power system (substations, transmission lines, generators, renewables, and distribution).
•Provide technical guidance, mentor junior engineers, and manage project teams to meet scope, schedule, and budget.
•Support data acquisition through occasional on-site visits and discuss project specifics with clients at an appropriate technical level.
•Apply industry standards (IEEE, ANSI, NERC PRC) and demonstrate organized, flexible scheduling to meet client needs.
•Utilize applicable software and hardware (AcSELerator, GE Enervista, ETAP, SEL, RTDS, etc.) in protection projects and contribute to project success.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited)
•5 to 7 years of post-education experience as an electrical engineer delivering protective relaying projects for power generation, transmission, and distribution
•Engineer in Training (EIT) certification
•Occasional travel may be required
•Proven commitment to workplace safety and adherence to health, safety, and harassment policies
