Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, procure, and integrate electrical systems and apparatus (e.g., motors, controls, lighting, wiring, power systems, cable/raceway) for new and existing generation fleet.
  • •Apply engineering principles to solve technical challenges and improve system performance and facility reliability.
  • •Support compliance with applicable standards (including NERC/WECC, NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection, NEC, NESC, and related industry standards) and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • •Prepare electrical designs and studies and deliver engineering deliverables meeting technical, code, and regulatory requirements.
  • •Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and provide technical guidance, reviews, and mentoring as needed by P-level.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering (ABET-accredited or equivalent preferred).
  • •P2: typically 2+ years in a related field; P3: typically 5+ years in a related field or 4+ years with PE license.
  • •Ability to apply NERC/WECC Reliability Standards and NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection, plus knowledge of NEC and NESC for plant design and construction.
  • •Working knowledge of engineering processes, project controls, estimates, and procurement/contract administration.
  • •FE exam strongly preferred (P2) and PE license strongly preferred (P3).
