Key Responsibilities

•Build and operate production backend services and end-to-end features focused on detection and remediation of digital threats.
•Design and implement high-throughput data pipelines, enrichment and scoring, and threat-linking infrastructure.
•Develop and maintain APIs and dashboards for operations and customers, with robust observability and incident response.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Customer Success, Sales) to deliver measurable outcomes.
•Mentor junior engineers and contribute to product decisions and team culture.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 157,000 - 367,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Hands-on experience building production backend services or full-stack features with end-to-end shipping (design → implementation → testing → monitoring → oncall).
•Strong mastery of at least one backend language (Python, Go, Java, or Node) and comfort with web APIs, async processing, and service frameworks.
•Solid system design skills for scalable, fault-tolerant architectures (sharding, caching, queueing, idempotency, backpressure).
•Experience building and operating large data pipelines (batch or streaming) and working with warehouses/OLAP for analytics.
•Deep practical experience with databases (SQL + NoSQL), caching, message queues, rate limiting, retries, and cost/latency tradeoffs.
