Job Summary

Serve as the senior technical leader for ROCm software validation for compute workloads and server-class systems. Own end-to-end validation architecture and release-qualification gates, architect test infrastructure and CI workflows, and lead complex multi-node debugging and qualification. Collaborate across development, hardware/firmware, and customer-facing teams to root-cause failures and turn findings into durable test coverage. Help influence validation readiness for next-generation Instinct GPUs.

Key Responsibilities

•Own end-to-end ROCm validation architecture across unit, integration, workload, performance, stress, stability, scale-out, and system-level test layers.
•Define release-qualification gates and exit criteria for ROCm releases and drive the organization to meet them.
•Architect test infrastructure including distributed test runners, GitHub Actions/Jenkins/internal CI fleets, hardware lab orchestration, result data lakes, flaky-test detection, and bisection automation.
•Champion modern agile quality engineering practices such as shift-left testing, test pyramids, contract testing between layers, hermetic environments, deterministic reproducers, and continuous validation in trunk.
•Lead complex escalation debugging by partnering with development, hardware, firmware, and customer-facing teams to root-cause multi-day, multi-node failures and convert findings into durable test coverage.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 168,000 - 288,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Lead complex systems validation and define end-to-end ROCm validation architecture across unit, integration, workload, performance, stress, stability, and scale-out layers.
•Expertise in software engineering/quality engineering with strong Python for test automation and infrastructure, plus C++ for debugging and extending production code.
•Deep validation expertise across GPU software stacks (e.g., ROCm, CUDA, oneAPI, SYCL) and AI/ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, Triton, vLLM).
•Experience with HPC runtimes and communication libraries (e.g., MPI, RCCL/NCCL, UCX, Libfabric) and validating multi-GPU, multi-node server platforms (stress, soak, fault injection, RAS).
•Strong academic background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline (BS/MS/PhD) or equivalent demonstrated experience.
