Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate dump trucks and related equipment safely on public highways, in the yard, and at job sites to deliver materials.
  • •Inspect trucks and trailers at the start and end of each workday and complete required driver check-off documentation.
  • •Transport materials/equipment to job sites, unroll tarps when required, and dump materials per job orders; clean dump box and shovels after delivery.
  • •Accurately log deliveries and maintain required daily vehicle logs; fuel and wash/clean trucks as needed.
  • •Perform minor servicing and maintenance and report problems to the appropriate supervisor; assist with other DOT vehicles/equipment and other departments as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Must operate a Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and maintain a valid DOT Medical Certificate.
  • •Must meet federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and Department of Transportation eligibility requirements for driving in interstate commerce.
  • •Must have 1–2 years of CDL driving experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of training and experience).
  • •Must be 21 years or older, pass pre-employment drug screening and a criminal background check, and meet strict safety and PPE requirements.
