Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead strategic growth for the Systems Planning & Grid Integration practice across technical, practice, client, delivery, commercial, and people requirements.
  • •Provide oversight for Energy business leaders on market and industry perspectives, including changing regulations, technology, and commercial considerations.
  • •Lead client management for current and new strategic clients, building long-term trusted-advisor relationships.
  • •Elevate technical excellence and verification requirements for large, complex utility-scale projects.
  • •Develop, mentor, and lead leaders to build a high-performing team culture with succession pathways, including strategic technical leadership across renewables, battery storage, and power generation.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven leadership delivering nationally significant projects at scale across power system planning and grid integration disciplines.
  • •Experience leading multidisciplinary technical and engineering teams to solve complex project requirements, with comfort working through ambiguity and coordinating stakeholders with different working styles.
  • •Industry reputation for trusted-advisor client relationship building, including collaboration with regulated utility clients, government regulators, OEMs, contractors, and industry organisations.
  • •Commercial judgment and acumen to shape approaches that enable sustainable long-term growth for AECOM and clients.
  • •Motivated to develop others and build succession-ready capability across the next generation of energy engineering leaders.
