Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare or review payroll tax documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with guidelines and regulations.
  • •Perform tax reconciliations and determine tax liability for accounts, divisions, or business units.
  • •Assist in preparing and distributing tax forms, and research questions and discrepancies.
  • •Research, interpret, and understand payroll tax codes, laws, and forms; update procedures when tax law changes.
  • •Resolve escalated issues with clients or internal departments and notify leadership of regulatory updates with proposed changes.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 3 years of multi-state, multi-jurisdiction and high-volume payroll tax experience.
  • •Minimum 1 year of recent Senior, Lead, or Supervisor experience.
  • •Hands-on payroll tax return processing experience.
  • •Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll and federal, state, and local wage laws.
  • •Preferred: PEO or related industry experience; MasterTax and Prism/HRP experience; CPP or FPC certification.
