Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with Engineering and AIT to understand and refine MGSE requirements and timelines for assembly/testing activities.
  • •Conceptualize, design (including CAD and manufacturing drawings), procure, and commission MGSE units.
  • •Validate that designs are compatible with external loads via mechanical analysis, hand calculations, or proof tests.
  • •Work with suppliers to review MGSE designs for manufacturability and appropriate processes, and address technical questions.
  • •Provide instructions and support for assembly/commissioning/implementation, and coordinate follow-up with manufacturing/procurement timelines.

Key Requirements

  • •Mechanical/Aerospace engineering degree (or similar) with focus on machine/structural design.
  • •Minimum 2 years of experience in CAD design + drafting (Siemens NX or similar) and FE analysis (Hypermesh or similar).
  • •Strong machine design knowledge and manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, welding), including design for manufacturing and GD&T.
  • •Ability to perform standard margin calculation methodologies for applications like beams, bolted joints, and welds.
  • •Experience designing test setups/jigs/fixtures and planning/executing mechanical tests in-house is a plus.
