Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead assigned SCADA and automation projects while maintaining and strengthening client relationships.
  • •Provide technical support and leadership in specification, design, concept development, and commissioning for utility, industrial, and commercial SCADA systems and protection/control work.
  • •Coordinate review and approval of electrical infrastructure design plans for mid-level and complex projects, ensuring data integrity and code/regulatory compliance.
  • •Develop and implement logic and control schemes for remote and local operation of power system equipment (e.g., microgrid, volt/var control, load shedding, distribution automation) and travel to test/commission control schemes.
  • •Design and configure network and communication paths for SCADA components and specify communication networks, including troubleshooting and commissioning communications systems.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • •12+ years of relevant post-education experience as an electrical engineer delivering SCADA design for power generation, transmission, and distribution at utility/industrial/commercial scale.
  • •Engineer license required (or equivalent).
  • •Advanced proficiency with electrical engineering principles and their application to permitting and project work issues, with strict adherence to QA/QC.
  • •Ability to work independently and provide guidance and leadership to mid-level to senior project/team members; occasional travel may be required.
