Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck systems including electrical, brakes/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering systems, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and evaluate defective equipment using tools such as handheld computers and pressure gauges; road test vehicles to confirm malfunctions.
  • •Maintain company service truck and manage parts inventory on the truck, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Document repairs and complete DOT and other required forms accurately, uploading photos and details to repair orders using a company iOS device and TRAIT application.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years of experience in a related field (or equivalent combination up to 5 years).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
  • •Be able to successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical; maintain a current valid DOT medical card.
  • •Valid state-of-residence driver’s license and ability to obtain/maintain a Driver Qualification File.
