Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan, coordinate, and execute comprehensive risk assurance activities, including effectiveness reviews aligned to the enterprise risk framework.
  • •Conduct thematic reviews across risk areas such as conduct, compliance, financial crime, IT, and prudential/strategic risk.
  • •Identify risk management framework and control environment improvements, recommend solutions, and track remediation to completion.
  • •Engage with business and risk stakeholders to understand products and risk profiles and promote a collaborative risk culture.
  • •Contribute to 2LOD framework governance and report thematic insights, trends, and remediation progress to senior management committees.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong background in risk assurance, internal audit and/or risk management within banking or fintech in the European regulatory and financial services landscape.
  • •Proven ability to plan and execute diverse assurance activities, including effectiveness reviews and thematic deep dives, with a focus on root cause analysis.
  • •Experience leading reviews across risk areas including ICT and Information Security, Financial/Prudential (Liquidity, Treasury, Capital), Fraud and Financial Crime (AML/Sanctions), and Operational and Conduct Risk.
  • •Deep understanding of risk and control frameworks (e.g., COSO, ISO) and ability to apply them to 2LOD oversight.
  • •Proficient in Google Suite and able to build committee/board reporting decks; experience with SQL or Python is an advantage.
