Job Summary

Lead and grow the Orders Platform engineering team within the Payments org, owning order creation, payment processing, and the full order lifecycle across live and async channels. You’ll partner with senior engineers across Payments, Marketplace, and Fraud teams to set technical direction, drive reliability and scalability for hundreds of millions of global orders, and ensure correctness for recovery, refunds, cancellations, and terminal-state handling. You’ll also maintain strong operational mechanisms, planning, on-call, and incident response.

•Lead and grow a team of engineers responsible for systems supporting hundreds of millions of orders globally from creation through post-fulfillment.
•Own building and operations for the global Orders Platform, including the core order lifecycle across live and async channels and reliable order recovery.
•Partner with senior engineers across Payments, Marketplace, and Fraud on technical direction, challenging designs and making architecture trade-offs.
•Drive reliability and scale across the platform architecture.
•Maintain team operating mechanisms including planning, execution visibility, on-call, incident response, rollout discipline, and accountability for production behavior.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 245,000 - 290,000 annually

•Strong technical judgment to challenge designs, understand failure modes, and guide good engineering trade-offs.
•High bar for engineering and operational excellence, with deep care for safe execution, observability, ownership, and production quality.
