Key Responsibilities

  • •Shadow operators during field rounds and learn how equipment condition is assessed during operation.
  • •Observe field and control-room operations to understand how the power blocks are operated and monitored.
  • •Learn major plant system concepts (gas turbines/LM2500, steam turbines, combined-cycle operation, boilers, chillers, water treatment, pumps/valves/actuators).
  • •Gain supervised exposure to water treatment and assist with water-quality documentation, chemical inventory tracking, and chemical-ordering support.
  • •Support safety meetings and continuous improvement by organizing/tracking procedures and action items, assisting with outage preparation documentation, and maintaining a learning log.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma, trade school, military service, or technical school training; college degree programs/certifications may substitute for applicable skills.
  • •Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • •Knowledge of CCGT power plants or equivalent education will be considered.
  • •Mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • •Effective communication skills and ability to work flexible hours (including start-ups, on-call, call-outs, and overtime).
