Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair vehicle systems including electrical, brakes, cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and related components.
  • •Inspect, test, and diagnose defective equipment using test instruments (and road test vehicles to confirm proper operation).
  • •Manage parts inventory and equipment on a company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation and maintaining safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Document repair work and findings on Repair Orders (RO) by uploading pictures and completing DOT forms using company-issued iOS device and TRAIT; communicate with management/support to obtain approvals and purchase order numbers.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience (or equivalent combination, such as 5+ years experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools needed to perform required job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Be able to successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a valid DOT medical card with more than four months remaining).
  • •Be at least 21 years or older; hold a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain/maintain a Driver Qualification File.
