Key Responsibilities

  • •Support leadership or manage the production of accurate, comprehensive estimates for projects/programmes.
  • •Deliver estimate production (from order of magnitude through to detailed estimates), estimating assurance, and estimating support for major programme set-up.
  • •Produce estimates on complex, multi-disciplinary projects and support cost intelligence and benchmarking.
  • •Support bids for new work and act as a role model for less experienced staff.
  • •Play a role in promoting estimating good practice, staying abreast of developments in own technical area, and supporting departmental objectives.

Key Requirements

  • •Qualified to a high standard in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with proven relevant experience.
  • •Proven experience providing estimating services to the Water sector.
  • •Previous experience working with estimating software packages.
  • •Membership of a relevant professional body with chartered status or actively working towards it.
  • •Desirable: membership of RICS / CIOB / A. Cost E.
