Key Responsibilities

  • •Own solution architecture for high-performance data pipelines and microservices, covering non-functional requirements like resilience, scalability, latency, observability, and security.
  • •Define and drive modernization roadmaps (re-platform, refactor, microservices decomposition) with minimal disruption to live services.
  • •Establish engineering standards for API design, event-driven integration, data modeling, testing strategy, CI/CD, and operational readiness; manage technical debt.
  • •Architect, design, and build core services using Java (8+), Spring Boot 3, JPA, PostgreSQL (or other RDBMS), and event streaming patterns.
  • •Lead real-time processing implementations (Apache Flink/Apache Beam) and drive GCP engineering delivery (Dataflow, Pub/Sub, GCS, Composer/Airflow, BigQuery/ClickHouse, GKE), including monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, reliability improvements, and cost optimization.

Key Requirements

  • •15+ years in software engineering, including experience designing and delivering distributed and data-intensive systems.
  • •Strong hands-on Java experience with Spring Boot, REST/event-driven services, JPA/Hibernate, and SQL performance tuning.
  • •Proven system design skills including microservices patterns, async messaging, idempotency, consistency models, caching, rate limiting, and failure handling.
  • •Experience delivering cloud-native solutions, preferably on GCP (or equivalent cloud).
  • •Knowledge of Kubernetes and deployment tooling (GKE, Helm, CI/CD pipelines) plus observability and cloud security practices.
