Key Responsibilities

  • •Underwrite and analyze new business submissions in line with Zurich underwriting standards, risk appetite, and delegated authority.
  • •Negotiate terms and conditions with broker partners to meet agreed strategy and target risk appetite while nurturing broker relationships.
  • •Manage and prioritize new business pipeline and work queues with Sales & Distribution, ensuring agreed SLAs are adhered to.
  • •Continuously engage with Sales & Distribution, Risk Engineering (when applicable), and broker partners to generate and secure new business opportunities.
  • •Maintain underwriting discipline by implementing agreed technical standards, controls, practices, and procedures; keep underwriting records in line with regulatory/statutory and internal requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •3 years plus industry knowledge.
  • •Holds or is working towards relevant professional qualifications (CIP, MDI, ACII).
  • •Excellent technical insurance knowledge, including commercial insurance.
  • •Strong numerical and analytical skills for underwriting and exposure evaluation.
  • •Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with partners and customers.
