Build and maintain highly concurrent distributed backend services in Go for StrongDM’s proxy data plane and control-plane platform. Key Responsibilities

•Evaluate technical tradeoffs and adapt approaches when problems are ambiguous or loosely defined.
•Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and DevOps/SRE partners to translate requirements into well-tested code.
•Contribute to secure handling of network protocols and cryptographic systems (TLS/mTLS, credential brokering, key management).
•Investigate and resolve technical issues in distributed, multi-cloud production environments and participate in code/design reviews.

•Familiarity with API design (gRPC/Protobuf and/or RESTful APIs) and core distributed systems concepts.
•Experience with AWS (or another major cloud provider) and cloud-native deployment models.
