Key Responsibilities

  • •Receive daily assignments from the Customer Operations Manager and coordinate with project managers and Smart Hands to complete work orders efficiently.
  • •Manage day-to-day service operations for installations, delivery, and deployment of technical resources within the assigned area.
  • •Install, upgrade, troubleshoot, and repair low-voltage cabling and fiber optic structured cable systems, including running wire through conduits and performing upgrades/additions.
  • •Physically install, configure, and test network assets (switches, routers, firewalls) and complete complex Move, Add, Change (MAC) requests within service levels.
  • •Maintain documentation and time reporting for billing/payroll and SLAs, request supplies/equipment, and respond to emergencies/after-hours needs when required.

Key Requirements

  • •5 years of experience in data communications.
  • •Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle with ability to carry a 6-foot ladder.
  • •Working smartphone to access company email and ticketing system, plus basic cabling/technician tools.
  • •Proficiency with cable testers and fiber testers, including experience working in communications closets.
  • •Basic knowledge of data communications networking and cable patching processes/procedures, including 66 Block and 110 Block cross connect procedures.
