Job Summary

Perform general maintenance throughout the plant to support Tyson safety culture and production. Monitor equipment during runs, make repairs or adjustments, document corrections, and rebuild or install equipment as needed. Assist with facility maintenance, grease and service equipment, and troubleshoot mechanical problems using schematics and blueprints. Work closely with other maintenance personnel and comply with Safety Rules such as Lockout/Tagout and OSHA standards.

•Monitor equipment during production and make necessary repairs or adjustments.

•Assist with installation of new equipment and perform maintenance throughout the entire facility.
•Troubleshoot mechanical problems using detailed schematics and blueprints, and perform related duties as requested by the supervisor.

Key Requirements

•6 months of continuous employment within the last 2 years and 1 year of industrial maintenance/mechanical experience.
•Knowledge of maintenance areas including welding, hydraulics, basic electricity, power transmission, pneumatics, and plumbing.
•Must be able to read and understand assignments and maintenance manuals, and communicate orally and in writing.
•Must be able to hear/respond to two-way radio and work closely with other maintenance personnel to pass along job information.
•Must be certified to operate various pieces of gas/hydraulic motors/lifts and be able to meet physical requirements (e.g., lift 50 pounds; climb stairs/ladders up to 60 feet).
