Job Summary

Prepare engineering models and drawings in line with company standards, ensuring project documentation accuracy and compliance with project design instructions, QA procedures, and relevant codes of practice. Coordinate with technicians and engineers locally and across WSP offices to meet deadlines, supervise drawing issues and work packages, and provide project status and resource updates for review by BIM leadership. Train staff on CAD/BIM best practices using tools like Revit and AutoCAD, and may lead junior teams on BIM modeling and detailing tasks.

Key Responsibilities

•Prepare engineering models and drawings according to company requirements, standards, and project design brief instructions.
•Check drawings for correctness and compliance with WSP standards, QA procedures, and codes of practice.
•Supervise drawing issues, prioritize work packages, and coordinate issue dates with document control.
•May function as Team Lead technician by managing modeling and detailing deliverables, resources, and communication between engineering and drafting staff.
•Train other staff on technical aspects and ensure proficiency in CAD/BIM software while reporting and liaising with BIM Coordinators/Managers on technical and personnel issues.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related course.
•Typically 10+ years of relevant experience in structural modeling and detailing.
•Knowledgeable in Revit Structures and AutoCAD, with proficiency using CAD/BIM software.
•Experience with structural modeling and detailing of reinforced concrete and steel structures.
•Knowledge of BIM360/BIM360 docs and ability to communicate in English effectively.
