Job Summary

Develop, review, and implement Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) nuclear risk management (NRM) models and programs to meet regulatory requirements. Own probabilistic risk assessment (PRA) model development, risk monitoring inputs, and integration with safety documentation, while advancing accident management and severe accident analysis using tools such as RIMS/Phoenix and MAAP. Support post-Fukushima planning, severe accident management guidance, drills, and periodic safety review documentation.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop, review, and implement BNPP nuclear risk management (NRM) models, programs, and applications in line with FANR requirements and agreed timelines.
•Design, review, and implement the as-operated PRA model; identify event trees and fault trees; maintain PRA database inputs and monitor current risk insights.
•Provide PRA results and risk insights to plant operations, maintenance, and work management to support safe and reliable operations; analyze risk to improve nuclear safety.
•Design components of the Severe Accident Analysis program (prevention and mitigation analyses and MAAP inputs/accuracy) and monitor additional analyses for regulatory compliance.
•Develop severe accident management guidance, procedures, and training; research and design early detection/response methods; and evaluate and produce reports for PRA/RIMS/Phoenix/PSR document management.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science in Engineering.
•8 years of relevant experience in nuclear risk management-related work (or equivalent per the stated procedure).
•Master’s degree in engineering or related science (preferred).
•Experience in PRA model development and risk-informed applications in nuclear plant operation/engineering (preferred).
•Ability to design, review, and implement PRA, accident management, severe accident analysis, and related documentation to meet FANR requirements.
