Job Summary

Perform general clean-up, material handling, and labor support in a cement plant while following all safety policies. Assist with maintenance-related tasks such as removing/installing refractory lining, helping with concrete pours and castables, supporting repairs to underground utilities, handling chemicals for cement grinding, and assisting with grinding ball screening and recharging. Also help with emergency railroad track repairs and cleaning of railroad hopper and box cars.

Key Responsibilities

•Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines and observe all safety rules while wearing appropriate PPE.
•Perform general clean-up and housekeeping of the plant and plant grounds.
•Assist with maintenance tasks including removing/installing refractory lining and supporting concrete pours and special castables.
•Support cement grinding operations by handling chemicals and assisting with screening and recharging mill grinding ball loads.
•Assist with repairs and logistics tasks such as underground air/water/gas line repairs, emergency railroad track repairs, and cleaning railroad hopper and box cars.

Key Requirements

•High school graduation or equivalent is required.
•Must be at least 18 years of age and able to show proof of acceptance to an accredited 2- or 4-year college or technical institution.

•Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, and signs.
•Willingness to learn (training provided) and ability to operate heavy equipment.
