Key Responsibilities

•Design, analyze, and provide construction oversight for tailings dams, embankments, and related infrastructure.
•Perform geotechnical analyses including slope stability, seepage, liquefaction, and settlement evaluations.
•Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for tailings facilities addressing seepage, slope stability, liquefaction, and water management.
•Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, and specifications to ensure high-quality deliverables.
•Mentor junior engineers and provide technical reviews to ensure quality and consistency of project deliverables.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 110,000 - 160,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
•6+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering, focusing on tailings dam design and management.
•Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Canada or eligible to obtain licensure within 3 months.
•Proven experience serving as a Deputy Engineer of Record (Deputy EOR) for at least 2 tailings dams.
•Proficient in engineering design software for embankments and tailings dams; experience with advanced numerical modeling; strong knowledge of Canadian regulatory frameworks (e.g., GISTM, CDA, ICMM, MAC).
