Key Responsibilities

  • •Follow safe operating practices and procedures while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a shop environment.
  • •Complete routine maintenance tasks and perform minor adjustments and repairs on trailer systems (including brakes, air lines, auxiliary pumps/engines, liftgates, and brake chambers) using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • •Manage assigned tasks by prioritizing work and meeting productivity expectations within standard repair times.
  • •Document work on repair orders (including uploading pictures and noting parts/findings) and accurately complete DOT and other required forms.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and up to 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform job duties.
  • •Ability to perform moderately heavy labor including lifting, bending, climbing, standing, and walking for long periods.
  • •Safe driving requirements: valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a Driver Qualification File.
  • •Complete required DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical; current valid DOT medical card may be submitted in lieu of a physical.
