Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver and coordinate design packages for complex roads, public transport, and greenway programmes from concept to construction.
  • •Lead technical design teams and ensure major transportation, bus infrastructure, and greenway/active travel designs meet relevant standards.
  • •Produce high-quality client deliverables within time and budget constraints, meeting quality expectations.
  • •Coordinate and challenge inputs across multidisciplinary disciplines (e.g., drainage, structures, environmental).
  • •Mentor junior engineers and apprentices and contribute to work-winning through quality and commercial input.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent recognized degree).
  • •Significant post-graduate experience in areas such as civil engineering, highways, rail/light rail, public transport, or greenways/active travel.
  • •Solid understanding and experience using relevant UK and Ireland design standards (e.g., TII PMG/PMM, DMRB, DMURS, LTN 1/24, NTA Cycle Design Manual).
  • •Solid experience preparing contract documentation for major transport projects, including typical forms of contract (NEC/Public Works Contract) and specifications to MCHW/MCRW.
  • •Ability to manage and lead teams of varying sizes, including mentoring and commercial management experience.
