Job Summary

Own and strengthen tax-related SOX controls for income tax reporting, serving as the primary UK point of contact for tax SOX. Oversee control execution, maintain audit-ready documentation (process narratives, RACMs, workpapers), and standardize templates, calendars, and checklists. Partner with local Finance teams, tax advisors, and auditors to assess control deficiencies, support remediation, and help drive efficiencies through standardization and automation.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure tax-related SOX controls are designed appropriately and operate effectively, maintaining audit-ready documentation.
•Maintain and enhance tax process narratives, RACMs, and SOX documentation, including workpaper templates.
•Standardize regional calendars, checklists, and workpaper templates to improve efficiency and control performance.
•Review control deficiencies, assess severity, and support remediation plans in collaboration with the tax team.
•Support quarterly and annual Group tax provision processes and partner with local tax advisors to validate assumptions and document significant judgments.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field.
•3–4 years of experience in corporate tax.
•Experience operating in a SOX/internal controls environment with documentation, evidence retention, and audit readiness.
•Working knowledge of income tax provision concepts and tax reporting processes under U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS.
•Proficiency with Microsoft suites (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) and the ability to collaborate with local Finance teams and external tax advisors across multiple countries.
