Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide occupational hygiene advice and guidance to site-based teams, leaders, and contractors.
  • •Plan and review risk-based exposure monitoring programs, evaluate results, and recommend appropriate controls.
  • •Support health surveillance by coordinating medical review and follow-up with relevant health professionals.
  • •Advise on legislative, regulatory, and industry requirements relating to occupational hygiene.
  • •Complete assurance activities against Rio Tinto health standards, support corrective actions, and improve standardization and control effectiveness.

Key Requirements

  • •A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
  • •A tertiary qualification in occupational hygiene, allied health, or a related discipline.
  • •Membership of, or eligibility for membership with, the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists.
  • •Demonstrated experience delivering occupational hygiene support in a mining, resources, or similarly complex industrial environment.
  • •Practical capability in exposure monitoring, data interpretation, health surveillance, and occupational hygiene risk controls.
