Job Summary

Lead control and instrumentation engineering for EPC projects, covering details design and field instrument work. Supervise instrument and cable installation activities, including control panels, marshalling cabinets, wiring/termination, and simple logic systems using PLC. Support safety and hazardous area design (SIS, Fire & Gas) and ensure quality through technical bid evaluation and FAT/SAT, pre-commissioning, and commissioning support. Prepare scope of work, material take-offs, and instrument document/drawing packages.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform control/instrument system and field instrument engineering and design activities required in projects.
•Recommend and supervise field instrument and cable installation activities (material take-off lists, station support, cable tray/tubing and fittings).
•Recommend and supervise installation, termination, and wiring for local control panels, marshalling cabinets, and control system cabinets.
•Recommend and supervise simple logic control systems (e.g., relay base logic or small package PLC units).
•Participate in technical clarifications and bid evaluation, and supervise FAT/SAT and commissioning activities to comply with applicable codes and standards.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation Engineering or a related field.
•Minimum 15 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry (petrochemical experience also considered).
•Expertise in PID control design, loop diagrams, instrument control, PLC, DCS, and instrument specifications.
•Expertise in Safety Instrumented System (SIS) and Fire and Gas (F&G) system engineering design.
•Experience with instrument engineering document and drawing packages (e.g., instrument index, instrument data sheets, cable schedules, loop diagrams, hook-up drawings).
