Key Requirements

  • •Experience implementing novel techniques in vector similarity on a search platform with a large user base or progressing academic vector similarity information retrieval research.
  • •Professional experience with search or vector databases, including using algorithms/libraries such as HNSW and IVF (or similar) at scale.
  • •Strong core Java skills, including familiarity with data structures, concurrency constructs, and modern language features like lambdas.
  • •Ability to take projects from beginning to end, covering both technical design and collaborating with other engineers to develop needed components.
  • •Experience with Elasticsearch/search relevance and a track record of using AI to accelerate development, debug complex systems, and optimize code.
