Key Responsibilities

  • •Under general supervision, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability of mechanical systems through preventive maintenance, condition monitoring, and shutdown maintenance.
  • •Perform routine maintenance inspections, basic fabrication, mechanical troubleshooting, and repairs on plant equipment (e.g., pumps, bulk transport equipment, rotating equipment).
  • •Repair and maintain mechanical equipment and facilities, ensuring repaired equipment is properly lubricated.
  • •Inspect equipment to identify defects, determine repair timing to reduce failure risk, and report repair/inspection findings and conditions requiring follow-up.
  • •Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines, including compliance with lockout/tagout and safe rigging/work practices.

Key Requirements

  • •Completion of the Maintenance Trainee program and/or equivalent outside experience demonstrating safe core maintenance tasks as defined in the skills matrix.
  • •Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, and signs.
  • •A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • •Knowledge and skills across rigging, millwright practices, shop fabrication basics, plumbing practices, and basic carpentry practices.
  • •Ability to safely and effectively operate hand tools, power tools, cutting and welding equipment, and related maintenance tools and mobile equipment.
