Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct investigations, interviews, and inspections; drive to damage sites in the assigned territory; prepare estimates and make recommendations.
  • •Set and maintain reserves; review reports and materials; determine coverage and claim value; issue or decline payment; negotiate as needed.
  • •Document claim files and submit reports for closure.
  • •Recognize subrogation situations and initiate appropriate action.
  • •Serve the assigned territory to bring claims to conclusion and assist claims supervisors, including representation at legal proceedings when required.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent required (bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • •Property Adjuster I: two years of claims handling experience (or equivalent); Property Adjuster II: five years of claims handling experience (or equivalent).
  • •Live in Milwaukee County in Wisconsin and/or surrounding areas (territory assignment required unless approved).
  • •Valid driver’s license and good driving record required; willingness to obtain and maintain required licenses.
  • •Willingness to complete Erie sponsored training (Technical Learning Center) required; successful completion of AIC 33 and AIC 35 preferred.
