Job Summary

Join the Transport & Mobility team to be considered for future opportunities across the UK and Ireland. You’ll help lead transport planning projects and proposals, including transport statements, assessments, travel plans, and construction traffic management. Work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, support client work, and lead technical reviews and accessibility discussions. The role may also involve contributing to Net Zero, Future Mobility, and Freight growth areas.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead transport planning projects and proposals, including both technical and commercial inputs.
•Lead and coordinate tasks within a multi-disciplinary team from concept to delivery.
•Undertake transport statements, transport assessments, environmental statement transport chapters, construction traffic management plans, and travel plans.
•Lead technical discussions on accessibility of project/construction sites and articulate impacts and required mitigations for planning approvals.
•Perform technical review and checking of deliverables, and represent WSP’s values in a collaborative client/consultant environment.

Key Requirements

•Experience in active travel and/or public transport, transport programme/scheme development and/or business case development.
•Experience developing transport-focused strategies, plans, and policies.
•Experience working with Local Authority and Combined Authority clients.
•Experience managing and coordinating transport assessments and strategies for major and/or complex projects.
•Ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects and tasks to meet deadlines.
