Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver laboratory testing on soils, aggregates, concrete, and other construction materials according to recognized industry standards.

  • •Maintain calibrated equipment, orderly work areas, and safe material-handling practices for a dependable lab environment.
  • •Support proficiency testing and internal/external audits to strengthen the laboratory quality control program.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: 41,400 - 57,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Successful completion of high school or post-secondary technical education in civil engineering, civil engineering technology, or a related discipline.
  • •Experience in a soils or construction materials laboratory is preferred but not required.
  • •Ability to obtain Canadian Council of Independent Laboratories Type C certification and learn lab certification, calibration, and proficiency-testing processes.
  • •Strong, accurate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) to enter, interpret, and report technical data.
  • •Ability to organize and coordinate multiple tests while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced lab environment.
