Key Responsibilities

  • •Create, assign, and monitor work orders; track machine service intervals; diagnose issues and determine root cause and corrective action.
  • •Perform safe repair, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting for power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and oil-free air compressors.
  • •Travel to customer job sites when required to perform preventive maintenance and repairs and support on-site troubleshooting and repairs.
  • •Set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites, working individually or with other technicians as needed.
  • •Maintain complete and timely paperwork/electronic documentation for daily work performed; assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.

Key Requirements

  • •Must own tools applicable to the position and have advanced mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of tools.
  • •Experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, including inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
  • •Ability to calculate nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements and read schematics.
  • •EPA 608 certification preferred; be able to obtain it within 6–12 months if not already certified.
  • •Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; must be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
