Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead implementation of the Biodiversity Management Plan in line with standards.
  • •Prepare, implement, monitor, and report on Biodiversity Action Plans for plant species meeting critical habitat criteria.
  • •Prepare, implement, monitor, and report on birds offset plans in case of fatalities of target species.
  • •Manage biodiversity surveys with external consultants and oversee bird and bat monitoring execution.
  • •Analyze survey results and update the Biodiversity Management Plan as needed; provide technical ornithological advice for Identiflight SoD system installation, configuration, and maintenance.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Biology or Ecology (or equivalent).
  • •Master’s degree in Biology/Ecology (or relevant sub-disciplines such as terrestrial ecology or ornithology).
  • •8–10 years in biodiversity management (consultancy or project), including at least 3 years managing risks of wind power projects on birds.
  • •Experience with BMPs, BAPs, offsets, Shutdown on Demand (SoD) and PCFM.
  • •Experience in biodiversity management aligned with IFC, EBRD, and ADB requirements (at least 3 years).
