Key Responsibilities

  • •Determine methods for collecting, compiling, and analyzing site and subsurface data (samples, surveys, blueprints, GIS, hydrologic and geotechnical information) for design and construction.
  • •Perform geotechnical engineering work and inspections for proposed and existing site conditions, including subsurface investigations, settlement, erosion, earth pressures, hazards, groundwater, and slope stability.
  • •Develop construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and safety/phasing plans; coordinate with owners, other disciplines, sub-consultants, and clients.
  • •Prepare technical reports, presentations, and data visualizations; review Geotechnical and Environmental reports (Phase I and Phase II) and support risk mitigation action plans.
  • •Maintain quality control and compliance (including data integrity and record retention), prepare and implement Health and Safety Plans (HASPs), and interact professionally with agencies and project stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • •5 to 7 years of post-education engineering experience with geotechnical design experience.
  • •Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification.
  • •Demonstrated geotechnical expertise including foundation design, slope stability, seismic engineering, retaining wall design, earth retention, and ground improvement.
  • •Proficient technical writing and ability to use geotechnical design software and perform engineering calculations.
