Job Summary

Engineer roles across Assistant to Principal level for highway consultancy within the Roads team. Lead day-to-day technical delivery through feasibility, concept design, planning, and detailed design phases; manage multi-disciplinary inputs, client relationships, and project budgets; oversee design outputs, QA, and adherence to design codes while supporting team development on highway, drainage, and related infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead day-to-day technical delivery of highway consultancy services through all project stages from feasibility to construction.
•Manage multi-disciplinary inputs and ensure coordination across projects of varying scale, complexity and value.
•Liaise with clients, build trusted relationships, and proactively manage expectations while advising on project direction.
•Provide project technical lead and reviewer roles and support others to maximise team contributions to goals.

Key Requirements

•Relevance knowledge and experience of highway design and/or drainage systems across project life cycle (feasibility to construction)
•Experience leading one or more design disciplines on road/public transport/active travel projects
•Ability to review and direct design outputs using software such as Autodesk Civils 3D, Bentley OpenRoads Designer, InfoDrainage, or PDS
•Proactive change management with clear communication of schedule, cost, and quality impacts
•Strong communication and stakeholder management; Chartered Civil Engineer or Incorporated Engineer with post-qualification experience (or working toward Chartership)
